An urgent dental problem
For pain, swelling, a broken tooth, a lost crown or filling, or trauma, we look for a same-day or next-available appointment within working hours. The clinic is not a 24-hour service and does not accept emergencies outside those hours.
What we can do
Call +359 896 121 314 as early in the day as you can. If there is a slot, we see you the same day; if not, we give you the first genuinely available appointment and tell you honestly when that is. Pain, swelling, bleeding and trauma take priority.
Working hours are Monday to Friday 09:00 to 18:00 and Sunday 08:00 to 14:00. The clinic is closed on Saturday. Outside these hours we see patients only by prior arrangement, which is not an emergency service.
What we cannot do
Toothache on holiday in Varna? Come during working hours — we keep same-day slots for acute pain. We are not an out-of-hours emergency clinic. There is no on-call number overnight and we do not accept patients outside working hours. If a problem starts on Saturday, on Sunday afternoon or during the night, you will need to seek help elsewhere.
We state this plainly because an expectation of round-the-clock dental help is itself a risk. It is better to know in advance where to go than to rely on a telephone that will not be answered.
When not to wait for a dentist
If you have difficulty breathing or swallowing, bleeding you cannot control, severe or rapidly spreading facial swelling, significant facial trauma, or any loss of consciousness, seek urgent medical help immediately or call 112.
These are not situations to hold until a dental practice opens. Do not wait for an appointment, do not wait for a reply to an email, and do not wait to see whether it settles. Dental treatment can follow once the situation is under control.
First aid until you are seen
Knocked-out tooth: hold it by the crown, never the root; if it is dirty, rinse it briefly in saline or milk, and try to place it back into the socket. If that is not possible, keep it in milk or your own saliva and seek help immediately, because time matters.
Broken tooth: rinse with lukewarm water, press clean gauze on any bleeding, and keep the fragment moist. Lost crown or filling: keep the piece, do not glue it back with household adhesive, and avoid chewing on that side.
Toothache: a cold compress on the outside of the cheek rather than a warm one. Never place aspirin or any tablet directly against the gum, as it causes a chemical burn. Take pain relief according to the leaflet and your usual restrictions, and mention any swelling, fever or bad taste when you call.
What to expect at the appointment
The first aim is to bring pain and infection under control. Sometimes that means definitive treatment in the same visit; sometimes it means an interim measure followed by planned treatment. We tell you which of the two applies and why.
A radiograph is usually needed to see what is happening below the surface. The cost of an urgent visit depends on what is done and is confirmed to you before work begins.

We try, when a slot exists and the problem is genuinely urgent: pain, swelling, bleeding or trauma. Call as early in the day as possible. If the same day is not possible, we tell you directly when the first real appointment is rather than leaving you waiting.
Antibiotics are prescribed by a dentist or doctor and only where there is an indication. They do not resolve the cause of toothache and are not a substitute for treatment. Do not take leftovers from a previous course, and tell us what you have already taken when you call.
A baby tooth should not be put back into the socket. A permanent tooth needs speed: hold it by the crown, keep it in milk and seek help at once. In both cases call us so that you receive guidance appropriate to the child and the tooth involved.
It depends on what is carried out: examination, radiograph, opening the tooth, draining infection or a temporary restoration. You are told the figure before treatment starts. If further work is needed, it is planned and priced separately rather than added on the day.
Swelling or pain settling does not mean the cause has gone. Infection frequently quietens temporarily and returns, often at a less convenient moment. Book an examination even when you feel better, so that what caused the problem can be identified.
