A considered look
A second opinion on your plan
If you already hold a treatment plan or a quote and are not sure what is actually being proposed, a second opinion is there to help you understand it, not to contest it for the sake of it.
How we approach it
We do not comment on colleagues and we do not build an opinion out of what someone else supposedly missed. We look at the proposed treatment, compare it with your clinical situation and explain the reasoning behind it: why a bridge rather than an implant, why extraction rather than root canal treatment, what sits behind a difference in price.
When the plan is sound, we say so plainly. That is a common and entirely normal outcome. The purpose is that you decide with understanding, not that you change clinic.

What to bring
Bring the plan or quote itself, every radiograph and scan you have been given, and details of your medicines and medical history. If treatment has already started, bring the paperwork issued so far.
If you have no documents at all, that is not an obstacle; it simply means a fuller examination on site so that the opinion rests on something solid.
When a second opinion matters most
When an irreversible step is being proposed: extracting a tooth that might be saved, preparing healthy teeth for a bridge, extensive surgery, or a full reconstruction of the bite. These decisions are difficult to undo.
Also when two quotes differ substantially and you cannot see where the difference comes from, or when a plan has been given to you without enough explanation for you to feel settled about it.
What you receive
A written opinion: how we read the situation, which of the proposed steps appear well founded, where we see an alternative, and the risks and limitations of each direction. If we suggest a different approach, you receive its price too, so that the comparison is real.
A second opinion can begin online, with the records and plan you already have. A full diagnostic examination is charged at 25 €, and imaging is separate and agreed in advance.

Frequently asked questions
Frequently asked questions
No. In dentistry there is frequently more than one defensible approach, and the difference between two plans is usually a difference of judgement rather than an error. We explain what sits behind each decision and we tell you when we consider the existing plan to be sound.
No. Many people return to their original clinic, simply more comfortable because they now understand the plan. A second opinion carries no commitment to us and no expectation that you will transfer your treatment. You will not be contacted with follow-up calls, and the decision stays entirely yours.
If your situation requires a full diagnostic examination, that is charged at 25 €. A radiograph or scan is charged separately and is taken only when an opinion could not be given responsibly without it.
Yes, and it is often the sensible starting point. You send the plan, photographs and any imaging and receive a written orientation. A binding opinion with prices requires an examination, because several of the deciding factors are not visible in a photograph.
Not necessarily, and that is not the aim. Price depends on materials, the laboratory, the implant system and the amount of work involved. If we propose something different, you see its cost as well, so that you compare like with like rather than headline figures.
